Description
Alumilite is sold by weight, This kit includes 4 pounds (1.8 kg) each of A and B, approximately 1 gallon of mixed resin
Alumilite White provides users with an extremely user friendly rigid urethane that has good overall physical and cosmetic properties. The low viscosity along with the white appearance makes this material ideal for users who are looking for perfect coloring in their castings. The material has a mixed viscosity less than 100 cps and a mix ratio of 1:1 by weight or by volume. The material features a 2.5-3 minute work time and transitions from clear to opaque white when it cures. Demold time typically ranges from 5 to 15 minutes depending on the mold temperature and the mass of the material being cast.
This resin is useful for when you need a solid color casting. It cures white on it's own or you can add dye. When adding dye, you will need to use a lot more dye than with any of the clear resins to overcome the white color. Metallic powders or mica powders are of no use in this type of casting resin.
Alumilite White does not specifically require pressure casting but I always recommend pressure casting when available to assure zero bubble castings.
